SAMPLE LETTER

Dear Santa Clara County Supervisors:

Please do everything in your power to protect the Stanford Foothills permanently.

Stanford's General Use Permit application calls for more than 4 million square feet of development over the next 10 years, the equivalent of three new Stanford Shopping Centers. As mitigation for the environmental impacts brought on by this massive development plan, the foothills should be designated permanent open space.

Thank you in advance for protecting the public interest.

Sincerely,

(Your name and address)

TIP: Include a quote from the Draft EIR, articles, editorials, letters to the editor, and other support materials with your letter.
